Default which handheld console is better?

looking to buy a handheld console.
i'mn a bit behind the times lol and just bought my ps2 in the summer but now i'm back to uni never have the time to play it, so i'm thinking maybe a handheld device for the bus (and boring lecture ) might be the way to go.
i dont want to be paying silly money and i'm not like a hc gamer so not looking for the newest out or anything.
i'm into sonic and mario games mainly.
been thinking about the nintendo ds or psp.
ds i've only ever seen **** games advertised like brain academy and some dog thing lol. but psp i got told the UMD arent exactly portable so psp go would be better (as i download the games or something?)

what handheld console would you recomend?

and any chance of explaining how they both exaclty work (eg psp does music and vids right? - ds doesnt. but now there the ds lite, the 3ds etc).

(tbh i still have my gbc and like 7 mario games which are ace the only thing is though they dont have a save option, if there was a way to encode/ alter this so i could save them i'd be pretty happy!)

I dont really know what handeheld console to get, but I can tell you righ away that you dont need to double post threads(or posts). One of these threads will probably be deleated by mods anyway.

Just get a smartphone and go on GF all the time like me. And paec was just informing you of the rules so the mods don't have to bother. Read the forum rules.

I was just informing, but I personally would go for a psp, I dont feel dragged to the games released on ds or 3ds, Preferably I (personally) would wait for the psp vita, mostly cause it got better graphics. I cant tell you so much more about the handhelds.

but the vita is likely to be pretty pricey when it comes out i guess.

If you're looking for cost effectiveness then invest in a book . Actually a smartphone does sound like it would suit your needs. It has some small games and its useful for everything else. Depending on your plan it could get expensive though.

The Vita is not really going to be overpriced. It should be around 250 and will for sure be better than the nintendo handhelds... any of them. Save your pennies and buy this. It can play ps3 games, is a phone, and has a camera. Will not likely be beat.
