In case of computers and Internet, I usually estimate the importance of the particular account. My master e-mail account has a 20+ letter password and so is my fb account. But other less important accounts o'mine don't matter, I don't have time to make everything that safe. I don't think that tunnels and proxies are necessary. Furthermore, sometimes proxies and tunnels have some malicious programs, browser hijacker, etc, so I don't think it's safe to use them.
Feel free to check out my flash games site and my funny picture blog!
