Default Windows 10 Evaluation is here

I'm not sure when it was released but today I downloaded windows 10 eval from technet. Announcement was last week sometime if I remember correctly. Downloading the enterprise version was a tad tedious but glad I'm able to test it out. They are taking a very linux approach to this release. According to what I read, daily build updates will be pushed as windows updates until the eval ends rather than having a new ISO download every so often that forces you to reinstall.

So far it seems very stable and for those of you who hated the tiles of windows 8, a much more traditional start menu has returned. So far I've only been able to test it on my work system but will be testing it at home soon for games and such. If you were someone who adopted the tiles and loved them, they are not gone. They are an option.

From what I can tell so far, windows 10 is everything windows 8 should have been. Seems to follow MS typical OS release pattern.

I'm later going to upload my ISO, the USB installer app and a hack to remove the daily build watermark to my skydrive. Will share when it's done. Don't worry, this is not a piracy. MS released this for testing purposes and is intended to be free access.

    *WARNING*
If you choose to test this pre-release OS be aware that it is likely to prove unstable somewhere along the line. glitches and potential crashes could make it unusable for some. Would not recommend testing on an important machine and be sure to backup and protect any data you do not wish to lose.

    HERE ARE THE FILES:
    Windows 10

Inside you will find 2 ISO files, one is the x86 and the other x64. You will also find Rufus. This is an executable (no install required) that allows you to make a bootable USB with one of those ISO files. The last is a folder to remove the daily build watermark in the bottom right of the desktop once installation is complete. I have had mixed results removing the watermark. None of them bad, just some unsuccessful.

For setup you will need a microsoft email account as local accounts are not currently an option.
