Thought I'd make a thread to organize everything that I got from the Sony press conference today.

First of all confirmed system specs are:


During the press conference the CPU was said to be 8 cores.
GPU was said to be "high end" have DDR5 RAM. Since it's a lot like a PC, GPU developers should be able to utilize the graphics easily from launch.
and 8 gigs of ram, holy cow.

System specs are better than I imagined them to be. One thing is probably means is a high price at system launch. I'm honestly thinking another 600 dollar launch again. Though no price is confirmed yet, we'll have to wait till E3 for that.

A lot of amazing exclusives, biggest news to me:

Blizzard having a partnership with Sony now. Bring Diablo 3 to both the PS3 and PS4 for now, possible other games in the future.

Bungie also in a new partnership with Sony. New game Destiny the new game will be available at system launch.

Lot's of other exclusives, new infamous game, new Killzone game. Both looked pretty spectacular.


My thoughts on everything, looks pretty impressive, I love the 360, but I think I'm switching over to Sony this generation. Exclusives look amazing, and the system looks great. They showed a master cheif statue in Destiny, so looks like it will take place after the Halo trilogy. Now everyone gets to see how amazing Bungie is, I'm going to call it now, Destiny best selling game for PS3 for the first year.
