Well that's comforting. EA games usually fill out a library, while interesting exclusives provide the incentive.

not really surprising, Trip Hawkins already had a bad run of luck in the console business, he was one of the key ppl for the 3D0 and that thing flopped on it's face. Any who my opinion is a EA led console could thrive in this market even with 4 consoles on the shelf if they priced it right as they have quite a IP pool+ exclusive license to important sports which would be killer app exclusives and the casual market would eat it up, but one has to wonder are they considering it? buying all these devs has me leading to a yay, the thought crossed their minds, I bet if 1 of the 3 dropped out they'd fill the void within 3 years.

i agree with jak, they would thrive, they are still a very popular company that brought out many great titles in the past and if they want, they can make their own exclusive games for more sales
