Civ Rev was also designed to have a winner in quick amount of time(aka less than 10 hours) as Civ 2 many hours of gameplay would be done before you even got into real combat with the enemy, in Civ Rev they're basically a money shot away.
oh yeah...civ 2 and civ 3 were my two favorite versions...i still have my civ 3,will have to look for my civ 2 cd if i ever want to play - they didnt have the "great" graphics but the game play and strategies keep you into the game - civ IV kinda repelled me with the slowness of the game. Didn't get Musketmen until like the 1700s....
