There are many references to the 51st century in the revived series of Doctor Who. One of the Doctor's companions, Captain Jack Harkness, originates from the 51st century. The events of "The Girl in the Fireplace" partly take place during sometime in the 51st Century, and the two part story "Silence in the Library"/"Forest of the Dead" is set during this period.

The Italian symphonic metal rock band Vision Divine sings about the year 6048 and the plight of the Earth in the song "Here in 6048".

The events of the video game series Xenosaga take place sometime in the early 6000s. Due to the vagueness of the times given in Episode 1 of the series ('20xx' followed by '4000 years in the future'), it is possible the events cross over into the 62nd century (though, contrary to the game itself, the dates given in Xenogears Perfect Works would place Xenosaga's events in 7277 on the AD calendar). It should be noted that Perfect Works does not apply to the Xenosaga line, as many of the writers of the Xenogears series are no longer involved in the Xenosaga project.
