Help Anyone!

When i Put In a USB Drive into any of the ports it crashes then immediatly turns itself off! Its Torture since I have to do homework and stuff on it and i cant charge up my iPod! Can anyone help me fix it or should i just tke it to the computer shop to get it fixed?!

your computer crashes? or the USB opens and then just drops? or is it your computer's usb ports?

what kind of computer do you have? and how old is it?

Well when i plus in any drive into a port the screen turns blue with some text on for a few seconds then restarts, I have a acer laptop designed for Windows XP and its under 1 year old

the OS may have corrupted files, I'd recommend reinstalling windows but since it's under a year old, it may still have some kind of warranty, I'd recommend calling acer and asking them about it, they may have a troubleshooter for this - I'm not an acer computer expert so I can't tell you anything with a 100% confidence.

It could also be a virus...you could do a virus check to see. but my guess is that the windows files are corrupted. I've had that on my pc last week lol..I had to fix each file one by one - got corrupted during my GPU blowout
