Thumbs Up Games with no point

For a game to have no plot at all such as Katamri , the game had better very fun . Katamri is very fun and addicting , but just like Harvest moon when you exsplain to your friends what its about you get a really freaked out look . The game is about a little guy who roles a ball that gets bigger and bigger . The challenge is not all that hard ,but roleing a cat up in a ball makes it all worth while . The music is also ver very catchy although , I dont understand a word of it . The game has wasted alot of time for me . So on that note list soem games with no point . Games that you like alot .
    Dont forget about Tetris.....

well most of the actual games i play have a point, like they're an RPG or something.

but there's a lot of cool online flash games that have no point that are fun. like, fishy. you're a fish, you swim around and eat smaller fish and avoid bigger fish until you get so big you ruin the pond ecosystem. also there's onslaught (which is in the arcade here) where you have a path and you build turrets and defend your base from random symbols that attack. no real point, and there's no end, but its addictingly fun.

i think personally that shooters don't really have much point, at least the way people play them these days (online multiplayer) you get thrown on a map and you run around shooting stuff until the match ends.

Well that's like Farmville for Facebook. There is no point to the game except well... To grow stuff and sell it. But for some reason, people play it nonstop. I wouldn't call tower defense games (onslaught) pointless because there's just a simple point. Stop any monster from reaching the end. Depending on what type of tower defense, you may even have to prevent them from destroying something. I wouldn't say games have no point. I would rather say their point is very simple. Whether it be to stop a monster from busting through or keep the players playing. I would say Runescape is like this, they just try to get people to play it. If you max out of every skill and do everything, you still will play because you may not have enough money, but that would be very boring. Eh, in a sense, all games have the same point, to keep people playing.
    Casino winnings/losses (Real Life)

OMG! Farmville and Runescape! Two games I used to be addicted to! I have to agree with the points you made about the aforementioned games.

I have interesting stories about Runescape. To sum up why I no longer play the game, I stopped playing because the game became Socialist. Jagex, the creator of the game, became involved with every aspect of trading, placing restrictions on how much you can profit from trading. Their reasoning was the high number of scams occuring on Runescape. Jagex ruined the "company" I had running on Runescape with their ridiculous policies. I will never forgive Jagex and will never return to playing Runescape.

IMO, the most pointless game ever is Diablo 2. You spend all this time leveling up your characters and getting items....but then what?

I would agree that Farmville is a big one. I usually don't play pointless games because the storyline is what keeps me interested. However, I would say I've played some pointless online games for fun before.

Tetris is definitely one of the most awesome pointless games ever.
