Motion Games
Motion Gaming is becoming more and more popular. Within the last 6 months Wii has released it's new Motion+ sensors, Playstation announced it's "Move" Controller, and Xbox announced it's Kinect Camera. For those of you that missed E3 this year... it's all about the Motion Gaming.
Playstation's Move
Playstation's "Move" is a controller that most resembles a Wii Controller. To Sony, releasing the Move is an obvious move for the PlayStation, given it believes it started the motion controller era with its Eye Toy. *The Move controller, like the Wii controller will have a "subcontroller" as well. Making the Move even more like the Wii. The new SOCOM4 will utilize the new Move controller and subcontroller.
"We like to think that the migration path between Wii households and PlayStation households is a natural path," said Peter Dille, Sony's senior vice president for marketing and PlayStation.
Among the types of games Move will work with include those that involve swords, bows and arrows, guns, punching and much more. The idea is that Move will provide players with a realistic and precise feeling of holding whatever kind of thing the game calls for, be it a sword or a gun.
The Move will be available this fall in a starter kit that begins at under $100 for a Move, a PlayStation eye camera and a game.

Microsoft Kinect
Unlike Wii and Move, the new Microsoft Kinect Camera eliminates the need for a hand held controller and makes YOU the controller.
Originally called Project Natal, Microsoft Kinect is the next step is Motion Gaming. While Playstation has done something similiar with it's EyeToy, Kinect takes it above and beyond that with a 3D Camera that catches not only movement, but body language and facial expressions. It also uses a multi-array microphone to catch audio as well.
Kinect doesn't seem to be aimed towards the hard-core gamers, but more of the casual or party gamer. It can be used to flip through menus, music, videos, and more dashboard options. Games announced already include a dancing game named "Dance Central", a farmville-esque game titled "Kinectimals", racing games, and the like. They are currently working on a Star Wars game with light saber fighting *Wewt*, and disney games as well. While the technology seems really cool and cutting edge, I wouldn't be looking for any Red Dead, Halo, or Gears of War integrations any time soon.
A Kinect will run you about $150. They're already available for pre-order on Amazon. Considering the response to Wii when it released, many are suggesting you take advantage of the pre-order option as early as possible to ensure you get your Kinect.

One thing to mention there will be 40 dollar first party games for Move another thing to mention both theses things are fail.
-
I'm satisfied with my Wii. Actually, it's my favorite of my 3 consoles.

haha I wouldn't label these fail just yet... I want to see them in action firsthand. the Kinect looks less promising than the Move (to my eye,) but it looks like either could be fun nonetheless.
However, since I only own a wii, I'm just gonna stick to NINTENDO IS BOSS AT MOTION GAMING AND MAKING MONEY NYAH
somewhat related PAs that I read earlier today and made me giggle joyously -

The ball on the PS move weirds me out.
I highly doubt I will be getting this at any point ever. :/

I think the Microsoft Kinect and PSMove will have the same fate as the Wii:
-mostly casual games
-poor 3rd party games (mostly)
-
thing looks like a woman's toy... that ps move... (sigh)
