So I've played up to level 6 now and come to the solid conclusion that this game is rather sucky. The level mechanic and last-place-benefactor of all the skills and powerups in the game remove all skill challenge from the game and turn it into a "press the up arrow harder you dullard" racing experience where players sort themselves out in each race such that highest level players finish first and lower level players finish last.

There's no point to it... no amount of skill can make up for a level difference if everyone's playing halfway decent. The races that are broken in this nature are the only multiplayer element of the game - the overworld and pursuits are pointless and single player, respectively.

Try it out - it's fun for a bit and is a great time killer/single player game. Don't get it to play with other people, that's not what you're going to be doing with it. I personally wont be spending any money on this game, and have had enough of it to scratch my itch of curiosity.
