I haven't personally played it, myself, but I'm really surprised that Uncharted 2 hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. I haven't played Heavy Rain, either, but I'm glad to see it getting its deserving mention from many of you, already
I can't think of any games that I really enjoyed the storyline from :\ Mostly what comes to mind is Zelda games (A link to the past, mainly) and Metroid Prime. Oh - and adventure puzzle games:
Myst (and Riven but no other sequels - they got worse as time went on)
The Neverhood (amazingly done in painstaking frame by frame claymation!)
Zork (Hilarious game and story!)
-
Dragon Age: Origins
Metal Gear Solid series (1 and 3 have the best stories, 2 and 4 aren't bad but aren't nearly as good as 1 and 3)
Xenosaga
Silent Hill 2
Those games really just grabbed me and pulled me in and didn't let go story-wise.

I was wondering when someone was going to mention Dragon Age: Origins. The title itself is indicative of a dynamic storyline, after all.
I have to give a +1 to all the mentions of the Final Fantasy series; especially the earlier titles.
Oblivion has all the depth of lore and narrative that you could ask for, and in a non-linear package, no less.
I haven't played the latest Halo titles, but I was quite impressed with the depth of the story in Halo 2.

as much as i love legend of dragoon, the plot gets kinda bland towards the end. it starts off realistic, but gets more and more convoluted as it goes on

I personally liked the story from the first Uncharted better.
It was far more original, where as the seconds was almost like a copy.

I didn't like it too much...to me it was like a copy of indiana jones. The whole set pieces of Uncharted 2 helped move the story idk i just enjoyed that one more.

idk...in all honesty compaired to FFVII (i was going to put that) in my opinion was more enjoyable and i was able to follow it alot more clearly... that just my opinion though
Thank you Rachel and Subb for all the help

it was easier to follow, and imo a better game, but by the end with all the talk about magic and the divine tree and the moon and creator and stuff...disc 1 is my favorite cuz it's like a war instead of all this magic stuff. one of my favorite games lol. i'm just sayin, the story loses me towards the end but i still like playing it
