Default Rise Against Fans! Read me!

So, what do you guys think of Endgame?
Just bought it off iTunes this morning, and it's amazing! <3

It's lovely to see that some great bands never change their musical approach ^_^

I've only listened to 3 of their songs, because it was my friends iPod. I'm getting the album.
From how it sounded, definitely not their best. Good, but not the best. Tim's voice isn't raspy anymore and I can't decide if I like it or not. I kinda miss it.
Little too political for me, but I guess it's not too bad. Just more music I'm gonna listen to

Indeed, it isn't their best, but when you listen to it, you know it's Rise Against.. they haven't changed
I don't mind his vocals lately, I think they're equally as good. If you wanna hear him scream more, on the latest songs, then go see them live ^_^
Also, of course it's going to be political, they're called Rise Against

Actually, I kinda prefer their stuff like Siren Song or Suffer and the Witness, and this along with Appeal to Reason is getting more and more mainstream. Kinda scaring me away from them.
And I wasn't just talking about his scream, I mean his voice in general. Like Architects to Infection, completely different vocals.

And let me rephrase it....too Liberal lol

I don't think they've gone mainstream at all mate, they're still sticking to their sound. Sure, vocals may have changed, but the way he used to sing doesn't half strain your vocal chords :P It's not good. He stopped screaming so much the way he did earlier in the life of Rise Against, because he claimed that it was giving him severe problems after tours and stuff.

Just listened to the first few songs, it sounds pretty decent. I like how they're keeping their sound, mostly. One or two songs didn't sound closer to mainstream "punk?" if you can still call it that, but they've kept their edge and sound. As for screaming and stuff, musical styles and preferences change. One of my favorite examples is Avenged Sevenfold, went from screaming to singing and focusing on more of the instruments.

I don't expect Rise Against in 5-10 years to sound like Sufferer and the Witness. True fans will understand people change, as well as their likings, and accept it and continue to listen.

    +1

M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold actually released a statement, years and years ago, that changing their music style on each album was going to be their objective. Looks like they kept their promise
So I don't mind as much when it's actually their plan.

I've heart 3 songs from it Help is on the Way, Architects, and This is Letting Go, but tilg was pitch-shifted so it won't get taken down from youtube. It sounds like a better Appeal To Reason so far imo. I have to say my favorite Rise Against songs are Like the Angel and Paper Wings
