I'm sure I stated that you can control a mini-tank with a mini-gun? I'm 100% certain.

Any way.. You can't control one in the Campaign, you control a bigger vehicle called the Goliath. You only have the remote control mini-tank in the Multi-player. It isn't OP, it hasn't got any armour really, it's just a robot. You can destroy it easily.
