I loved Morrowind, and then I barerly came anywhere on the main quest. what I loved about morrowind was that it were fun to explore the world. It was an interesting world in witch you could find really strange things like tempels old city ruins and so on.
On that point I didnt think Oblivion did so good, the world were beautiful but not as interesting, also you already knew of the bigger cities and could go there in the beginning. In morrowind you had to travel there(they had a "taxi" system though so you didnt need to travel on foot, always).

The taxi system was actually pretty limited. You could really only travel to the larger cities and it cost gold. I miss the jump spells. They were hilariously fun and not always useful

ahh yes, the jump spells jumping across half the world in a few seconds
About the taxi system. What I liked was exactly the limited use of them, you could take them to cities and villages(and different taxis could only go to some places) but the rest you had to explore yourself.

And it costs gold, which you got by stealing silverware

Or by picking flowers

I usually just stored those in some container somewhere. When I got grandmaster alchemy gear I came back and made epic potions.

Not playing morrowind, I guess I don't mind them changing the game, sounds like they took the OP spells out to me. Also, I don't know why you'd want to kill a quest giver, I'd be pissed if I played a game and killed one of the main quest givers for the main story. I'd have to start all the way over, I'd never want to play a game like that.
It's not that I would want to specifically kill a quest character, I'm just saying it would be nice to have the possibility. I like to have that kind of power to influence the world around me in games. And I think it's so important to your sense of freedom in what the game allows you to do.
Neither enemy, nor friend. I am back from a world where such words are meaningless.

Since there's over 15 million 3DS
In Morrowind, you could (if you had enough money) make a fire ball that killed almost everyone in a city if you used it! And you could kill anyone you didn't like, and if they were a part of a quest, then too bad, you had to live with the consequences. (probably why I never got around to completing the main quest with one of my characters LOL)
