The same way as the 360 did. You can take the harddrive out from the 360 and it'll still run, you just can't save any games. I assume that they use some type of SSD to run the OS for the 360, I don't know for sure though. You would except they'd use the same type of thing for Xbox One. Ahhhh, ok. That makes sense then. I figured it must have an SSD for the OS but I wasn't sure.
