Yes you can play WoW for free, it's called private servers. Private servers are World of Warcraft servers that other players have created, and have various gold/exp/item rates. It all depends on the owner/admin. On private servers, there are custom areas/items that people have made, and implemented into the game. You will learn all about that after awhile on private servers. Here is a list of private servers...pick whichever you want. Also, you do not need to pay for an account on these various servers, and almost, if not ALL of the private server home pages have guides on connecting to their server.
