It's easy because everyone plays some sort of game.

I remember when the ESRB rating thing started... Mortal Kombat.. ever since then though video games have been the blame for most "kids'" acts of violence. But I agree with ~

Games have always been a sort of outlet for me, but not only an outlet it made and broke my friendships (Odd Job anyone? Golden Gun anyone? Hell even Pokemon Stadium). And not once did me or my friends try to stab people in the face and rip out their spines. All though we did play Star Wars but we didn't go around killing people. And when we evolved into Playstations and Xboxes we got Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas we didn't run around stealing stealing cars and killing old ladies with bikes. Games, for most people, don't affect the brain into committing crimes. Like ROFLBRYCE said ~

There's a reason there are ratings on games, but parents donttcare until their kid does something negative because of it. Even then, its not their fault they bought the game. Its that the game existed in the first place.

Doesn't make sense. The number of people that waved me off when Id warn them about GTA5 for their 8-11 year old was astounding. Then an hour later when they'd come in screaming nudity and profanity all Id say is "Well I told you that, sorry."
I mean games COULD affect the younger mind and they shouldn't be allowed to play GTA at all. I mean it was different in the 90's early 00's when not a single crap was given (essentially). Times have changed to say the least. Kids now have acess to more graphic substances than we did. I think people actually buy games for their youngins because they were able to play them when they were young? Depending on the age of the parent. I know for a fact that I ain't going to let my kid play GTA or CoD until they get into high school, once they get a more mature mind set. where they are still learning right from wrong but know enough of it that they can make their own choice. Not for a 5-12 year old where their minds are easily manipulated due to multi-media.
