RG / GF Minecraft Server Status

Hay W1cked I have a question that you might be able to help me with.

So I had an issue yesterday with that my Minecraft would be black screen, not respond, then shut down on its own. I tried rebooting etc. and even tried reinstalling Java completely, still wouldnt work. So I remembered by step retracing, that I had VERY RECENTLY installed the Photo Realism texture pack. I went to the texturepacks folder and removed it. Minecraft now works...

But I REALLY want that texture pack, or something similar to it! I tried deleting the file and redownloading it, same result, game wont respond and shuts down. I remove the tex pack, and it works fine.

Do you either:

1) Have a solution that might make it work again?
or
2) Have a different texture pack that looks as good?
