I just hope I like it. I've been in love with Diablo for more then a decade and I don't want to sound like one of those petition nerds who hate change but it just looks like such a different game I'm hoping it has the same great feel and whatever drug they put into the first two Diablo games that got me hooked for so long.

If SC2 ran hopefully Diablo will D: Did WoW run on it? Cause that's the real test lol

I was reallyyyy worried about that as well, but it appears that so far they've kept it very similar

Sooooo, I got to the end of beta with Witch Doctor and Demon Hunter. Let me play about ¾ of the way through the first chapter, not too shabby.
The one thing Im disappointed with that I hope they change is the leveling system. In D2 you got to place your own character skill points. D3 so far does it for you. Also, instead of having many multiple talents at once you only get to pick one every certain amount of levels (one initially, then one at 6 then 12, and so on) to be active. Not like it used to be where you’d pick a tree and work your way down to that one awesome talent. Now you have 3 ‘trees’, each with a certain amount of talents. As you level you unlock every single talent within that tree and get to pick any of them that you want. For example at level 6 you only have 2 talent slots open, meaning you only get to choose 2 out of allllll the active talents combined from all 3 trees to be active at once. Kinda sucks because there’s a lot of awesome talents that just go to waste. I mean I ended at lvl 10 and there were at least 9 talents out of which I could only use 2. But I suppose simplifying games is just how they roll now. Id much rather have the ability to put my own skill points in, and I will def miss the excitement of working my way down the tree to get to that one awesome talent. n skill points in, and I will def miss the excitement of working my way down the tree to get to that one awesome talent. I will also miss thinking out my skill tree and planning what talents I need to get to make other talents better and whatnot. Like I said, it’s just beta so hopefully they plan on changing or expanding on those areas.

Considering it's ONLY beta, but since you seem to be a die hard diablo fan like myself, would you say your disappointed or satisfied? How are the graphics? Does it feel like WoW? Just answer all the questions I'm paranoid about lol

Overall, just from beta… Im satisfied
The main thing I was worried about was that it was going to be WoW-ish, but it’s not. The feel is totally old school Diablo, just with better graphics and more awesome ability animations The only thing that felt WoWy to me was the leveling system and how they def dumbed it down, along with taking away character skill points. That’s what I was most upset about. So while it looks and feels like Diablo, it’s much simpler which is kind of depressing lol I really enjoy the part of games where you get to customize your character. Seeing the differences in performance when you use different weapons with different talent specs and whatnot has always been one of my favorite things and so many games are taking that away from you now.
That being said, again it was beta and was very limited. You didn’t really have a chance to mess with gemming items (which will be a big customization ability) and also seeing how the new skill/talents work by end game is also something I didn’t get to experience.
Haha, all that answer a couple simple questions :P To sum it up…. it was awesome, any Diablo fan will be happy and so far Id say its been well worth the ….what, 10 year wait? lol… Now I wish they’d just announce a friggin release date ^_^
